Basil Pesto Sauce

Ingredients

1 cup fresh basil (packed tightly)
A handful of baby spinach(optional)
Garlic 2 cloves 
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil 
1/4 cup pine nuts
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese 

1 tsp lemon juice
Salt as needed

Step 1:
Add all the above ingredients to a food processor and pulse it to desired consistency. And that’s it! 

Add couple of tablespoons of pesto sauce, your favorite pasta and some cherry tomatoes and pickled olives for a yummy basil pesto pasta or spread it on your sandwich and enjoy! 

This is one of the most simplest and delicious recipes I have ever tried! 

You can store this in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks! 

Note: for all my vegan friends out there! You can substitute Parmesan with a handful of cashew nuts! I will taste fantastic too!
